Background and expertise

Olga’s career spans investment banking, energy and food and beverage sectors.

Based in Russia in the late 1990s, Olga worked as an accountant and later economist for Amoco Eurasia Petroleum Company, a Russian subsidiary of Amoco Corp. She followed Russian and international oil and gas companies as a senior oil and gas analyst working for two of the leading Russian investment banks. Other experience included four years as Marketing Director for a major US marketing association working in the meat sector.

Olga has been involved with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise since arriving in New Zealand with her family in 2003, Her early roles involved strategic planning, corporate reporting and risk management. In February 2007 Olga joined New Zealand Trade and Enterprise's Investment team, where she initiated investment attraction work in the petroleum sector.

Olga holds an Honours Degree in Economics from Moscow State University.
